Dr. Joshua DiCaglio (Ph.D English, Penn State) is an Assistant Professor in the English Department at Texas A&M. His research examines scientific rhetoric, with a focus on the challenge of orienting ourselves to scales that exceed typical human experience. His scholarly monograph Scale Theory: A Nondisciplinary Inquiry (352 pages) was published by the University of Minnesota Press in 2021. Other works have appeared in Configurations, Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and the Environment, Environmental Communication, Science Fiction Studies, and Philosophy and Rhetoric. He is currently working on a book about lithium, scale, and the challenges of speaking about ecological relations.
